Discussing our gas and electricity tariff

It was a total waste of time calling SSE today. They told me that, they have a technical issues and can't open my account online to discuss anything. They should have that message on their automated machine,rather then telling you to press 1,2,3,etc.to get in touch with the relevant person, department. It would save the time and frustration this cause to their customers, in that case, me. So,not happy with SSE right now.I'm reconsidering my contract with them?

Dreadful customer service

Just awful... no help at all with billing problem. Day 2 trying to sort something out and after waiting 45 for an agent the phone goes dead at 2pm on the dot. Must be home time.

User's recommendation: Don't bother as if you have a problem the call centre is in South Africa and they don't care.

Poor customer service

Write a complaint and still no response back from them, they took two lots of direct debits and left me in financial crisis and the advisor I spoke to basically accused me of lying because he couldnt find the extra direct debit however a week later it was returned with no apology or no contact at all. So the service is poor

No gas

Could not register for power on Friday when I moved into my new home which has pay as you go meter. After half an hour chap put me on hold and did not come Back. I now have no gas and no way of buying any. Phone nos only direct me to the internet but I do not have an account as yet. I am an elderly person and need to have gas. Disgusting that there is no way to get help. I have to wait until Mondays. Not good enough.

Dire! Does everything to avoid email complaints. Rejects all emails from Resolver. Sells 'debts' to collection agents where there was a credit balance FOUR YEARS PRIOR. Impossible to reach. AVOID

Left a property four years ago with a CREDIT BALANCE on the elctric account - a key card! Shows up 4 1/2 years later, out of the blue, with a dodgy claim from their debt collectors LCS threatening a judgment for 131.00 This was the only letter received, just now. Caution as they will *** up your credit rating.Avoid at all costs

My SSE app hardly ever works and can never get anyone on phone ,last time I had to phone it took me 3 days to get to talk to someone, my app has not worked and has hardly work, I got in touch with OVO thinking thats who I was with but they told me I was still with SSE

Billing query my last quaternary bill was £167 this time its £1200

My last quarterly electric bill was £167 My new one is £1250 since I had a smart meter fitted. The little box in the kit says I owe them £675 for Jan to march . I have rang them everyday for a week they say don't worry we will sort it out.but the have not even returned my calls which they said they would. I have just got red threats letter I also have mental health problems

Payment of electric generated by solar panels fit Payment

I recived notification that my fit reading for the quarter January/March 2022Don't get involved with SSE was due on 1st March I sent it and got an acknowledgement within hour. Since then to date 5th April 2022 "NOTHING" not even an ackowledgement of an e-mail I sent their customer services on 28th March. My concern is their direct debit payment to me has got LOST

User's recommendation: Don't get involved with SSE, since joining OVO they are pretty useless.
